DIY: Decorate your Laptop

Hi everyone! Today I decided to post a quick DIY for decorating your laptop in a simple way that can be personalized to your liking.

Recently I've grown tired of my Macbook's plain silver design. I wanted to look at something more "me" every time I whipped out my laptop to type a paper or drone around the web. Sure, there is a countless amount of laptop stickers and "tattoos" to apply, but I wanted something that would completely suit my style. At the same time I realized my laptop is in a definite need of a hard shell case considering the amount of times I tote it around and toss it. Combining those two needs together, I came up with a simple and cheap way to personalize my Macbook.

I browsed the web until I came across a cheap crystal clear case on eBay for the low price of $9 (what a steal!) After I received the case, creating my new laptop "skin" was a couple of quick steps away...

1. Find a crystal clear hard shell case for the laptop that you own. You can find many for a reasonable price on sites like Amazon and eBay.

2. Clean the exterior of your laptop. (This is optional, of course, it simply aids in having a clean look)

3. Browse the web for any images or quotes you like! Open a word document or picture formatter and compile these images into any pattern you enjoy. You can choose to put these images in a large gird, square, or even just have them randomly placed like a collage.

4. Print your pictures and begin to cut them out in the style you want them to be in.

5. Place your images in your desired pattern atop of your macbook pro (without the case of course)

6. Gently place the top cover of your new case over them images and onto your laptop, therefore securing them in place and having a finished collage design!

Ps. I'm sorry for the lack of visual aids in this post. Unfortunately my camera needs some tweaking and I could not seem to find any images of laptop collages online :P. Nevertheless, I hope you find this helpful!
